College Charter – Entitlements and Responsibilities
The College Charter sets out the main principles that apply to students at the college.
The essence of the document is the part that spells out the relationship that exists between the college and its students. This is an agreement of the college guaranteeing a series of entitlements to its students in exchange for the students shouldering a series of responsibilities for the good of all.
In summation, as an Epping Forest College student you will be entitled to:
- Information about the Learning programmes on offer at the College
- Advice, support and guidance throughout your time at College on a range of issues
- A healthy and safe working environment
- Information on costs and fees involved with College study
As an Epping Forest College student you will have responsibilities to:
- Manage your learning, in terms of attendance, work completion, absence notification etc.
- Behave in an appropriate manner with both staff and students, take care of College and other’s property, as well as raise concerns with staff as necessary
- Not give offence to others, even unwittingly, and treat all staff and students at the College with equal respect and tolerance
- Express your views on College procedures via the established channels
