How to Book Your Place on a Course

Applying for courses

(To download Application Forms A and/or B, please scroll to the bottom of this page)

Depending on the type of course, all courses are marked as either Route A or Route B and you will need to complete the corresponding form for each. If your chosen course indicates Route A then you must complete the Route A Application Form. If your chosen course indicates Route B you should complete the Route B Enrolment Form. If you are wanting to enrol for courses on Route A and Route B, both forms should be used.

Route A – for courses that require an Interview and Advice and Guidance

The form can either be handed into the College or posted. You will be contacted by the College to arrange an Advice and Guidance session either over the telephone or at an interview at the College. At this stage you will be able to get more information about the course. Applications can be sent to the College at any time. Application Forms will be authorised for enrolment after you have received Advice and Guidance.

Route B – for Leisure courses

You can enrol by the following methods: telephone, post or in person. If you are an existing student you can come into the College and an application form will be printed from our system with your personal details. Personal, telephone and postal enrolment begins at 5.30pm on the 29th June 2009.

Payment

To ensure security of your financial details payment information is not taken at this stage.

Employer/Sponsors section

This only needs to be completed if an employer or sponsor is paying for your course.

Could you qualify for fee remission?

Yes if your chosen course is marked FL2 and FL3 There is fee remission for students studying for a first Full Level 2 or Full Level 3 qualification who meet
certain criteria. If you are not sure of the exact grades of your previous qualifications, please indicate if you passed or failed, and in the case of GCSE’s whether you attained a Grade C or above in the results column.

Paying by cheques or Postal orders

Cheques and postal orders should be made payable to ‘Epping Forest College’. Please write your cheque card number and your name and address on the back
of your cheque.


College Membership


Please refer to the guide for more detail. This fee must be added to the course fee
indicated in the guide
• Part-time membership fee - £15
• Part-time membership fee for new students enrolling on 2009/2010 courses starting after Easter 2010 (from April 5th 2010) - £10
• For courses less than 10 hours College Membership
is not charged.

When does part time enrolment start?

Enrolment starts at 5.30 – 7.30pm on the 29th June 2009.

What are the times that I can enrol by telephone and in person at the College?

Term Time:
Monday 9.00am – 5.00pm
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9.00am – 8.00pm
Friday 9.00am – 4.00pm
Holiday Period:
Monday to Thursday 9.00am – 3.00pm
Friday 9.00am – 1.00pm

College ID Cards

All students will require a current ID card to gain access to the College. This will be issued if you enrol in person or once you receive receipt of your enrolment you can come to the College during the College opening times to have your ID card printed by our reception services. If this is not possible please allow extra time before the
start of your first class in order to have your ID card printed. Please ensure that you bring along your receipt of payment.
